I've gone viral recently with Facebook's new media series, Virtually Dating. Watch Episode #101 with John and Shelby having their first Virtual Reality Blind Date...with cameras watching!
In other news, with an episode of I, Witness in the bag, I've gone ahead and booked two other projects! The first of which is She Came from the Woods, which is a Horror/Comedy Short Film from 2-time Emmy-Award Winning (and 8-time Nominee)* Writer/Director Erik C. Bloomquist & Carson Bloomquist. We're aiming for Sundance and others this year, and we're hoping for the best.
Another project "in the can" is The Iron Wall, a featurette in which I star opposite of Transparent's Bashir Naim, who was certainly a pleasure to work with. This will be released first as a CalArts MFA Thesis film in January but will be looking forward to future festival submissions in 2018.
Right now, I'm working on my own film to be released in late 2018. It is a narrative about my brother, Mike Pope, facing trivialities of introversion and his father's transition as a Trans-woman. I'm excited to play the role of my brother Mike; this is a project that is both very personal and exciting for me to embark on, and I can't wait to bring my vision to the screen.
That's all for now. Check out my new Character Reel while you're at it!
